I like that they kept the dress uniforms from Season 1. I do like the design quite a bit - it instantly reads as what it's supposed to be while having enough new touches to also be read as futuristic.

Dwayne McDuffie (a black writer, it should be said) included "The Brown Bomber" as an alternate version of Black Lightning in a realm created by Anansi the Spider as a joke about this.

Kitty has been possessed by Lilith, the Daughter of Dracula (a recurring character from Tomb of Dracula and spinoffs). Costume downgrade imo. I can see wanting to get rid of the plunging cutout, but the rest of the updates suck.
