Ive been wanting to make collaborative art for so long, but it's so tough when everyone's got a job. I feel game dev wasn't meant to be done alone, and i hope I'll successfully put something out with other ppl someday.

Oh yeah it's so fun to do that. The feedback I got about it though was that you should still include a basic description above the story for the sake of accessibility, since that's what it's for in the first place

So I'm not native but I've had close friends who are. What they've said is there are so few left who are even as much as 1/4 native, because the gene has become more spread out with each generation. Their thought was that in order to preserve these cultures, you just can't worry about it too much.

I definitely see your angle, but I think the issue is that they tend to bury their existential dread with commodities. Buying a cool car in combination with coming to terms with your mortality would be ideal I think.
