4) If those children get pregnant, they will ensure the mother is forced to give birth and provide zero aid thereafter.
The GOP has three unifying principles:
1) Enriching the rich,
2) Launching foreign wars,
3) Ensuring the elite can r@pe American children.

Reparations for slavery is a political non-starter, but there should be reparations for all the post-WW2 GI Bill benefits that were unfairly denied to African American vets. We should also promote the preservation of indigenous languages as much as possible.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

You think that a journalist would object to having people in power repeatedly lie to their face but our media elite actually love it because they believe they're in on the joke and it makes them more savvy than us rubes
Calling this a "gaffe" is the #BrokenTimes' way to dismiss and forgive the right-wing defense of a white supremacist. Credulity in the excuse of racism is racism.

For the last 30 years, throughout much of Western academia there have been a lot of leftwing academics who sidelined, belittled, and tried to lecture over scholars and dissidents of former communist countries, on the topic of communist tyranny. I think this is gradually coming to an end.
Chomsky is terrible. We chastise the "right" for not listening to experts, but here the far-left has been listening to a linguist about foreign policy and economics. It's ridiculous. He uses big words and seems to say the right things about "wealthy people bad"... then he's best buds with Epstein.

I think people are unwilling to give the NYT and its staff the benefit of the doube because they [checks clipboard] have been able to observe and think about the NYT's behavior as an institution on virtually all issues for the last 20 years. Hope this helps
I was at NYT for 7 years & one of a dozen reporters who investigated Epstein’s interactions w/the rich & powerful. I don’t know every conversation held at every level there, but I do know we dedicated ourselves to exposing those who supported Epstein & engaged in the abuse of girls he facilitated

They were enthralled with how much money Trump could make for them, both as individual reporters and as a newspaper company.
At the same time the New York Times was running nonstop stories on Hillary's email server, they were sitting on this emails (and photos of Trump with Epstein victims, apparently).

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

The only way to defend the times here is arguing that there was a grave institutional failure and changes have been made to correct that. When your position is that the organization was functioning as intended, you're arguing that they were protecting Epstein on purpose
Him conspiring with Epstein is per se a conspiracy. Now you *can* try argue that the conspiracy itself didn't seep into NYT beyond his own actions and this is just an institutional failure. You can't deny both institutional failure and conspiracy at the same time

No one brings this up enough:

-Acosta gives Epstein a sweetheart deal
-Becomes Secretary of Labor
-In that capacity tries to gut anti-human trafficking funding

It's like a poorly written paperback legal thriller
The Secretary of Labor Wants to Cut Funding for an Agency That Combats Human Trafficking
Acosta, who is currently under scrutiny for his 2008 plea deal for Jeffrey Epstein, has proposed an 80 percent cut to the Bureau of International Labor Affairs' budget.

Boycott NYT.
Why the fuck is this framed as “teenager chose to prostitute herself and ruined the career of innocent congressman”
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

“The New York Times doesn’t think a couple of emails is newsworthy” they think you’re stupid.
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

The Epstein story gets a something that is tearing at the heart of the electorate: elite impunity. The idea that wealthy and powerful people can do terrible things *at scale* and face no consequences for them. Whatever political party actually stops it could rule the country for a generation.
