yea that's a better way to capture my concern: this is not the team to look at *Economy Bad* and break out the white board to see what to trim back.

agreed. but i think you've got a few categories of scheming viziers, and unwinding who the favored ones who get to keep grifting (AI) and who doesn't (tariff piggybacks) is going to make the whole thing spiral.

broadly, i agree, but there's some overlap with chips, data centers, and power that i'm guessing in the next six months (?) it becomes impossible to unwind one without the other.

I'd say we're rapidly approaching a point where the damage can't be undone, because "stop doing that shit" means unwinding the AI/crypto fraud schemes.
