Palestine campaigning in Ireland and the UK has badly needed more union action and collective support of workers. That’s where the most power is, not with celebrity activists; the murder machine relies on labour. Stand with this Tesco worker who refused to handle Israeli goods

This is what happens when as a single condition health charity you’re overly focused on those who die of your condition and you don’t consider outcomes for those who don’t, or the opportunity costs involved for NHS. PCUK are particularly guilty but they’re not alone.

Obviously this piece is lacking in quite a lot of information, however, statistically if people are being stuck in lorries to leave the UK they aren't being "smuggled" they are being trafficked, a whole other thing. That seems like a pretty crucial thing to clarify.

Marius Bajenaru, 44, and Sorin-Costinel Ivan, 46, tried to smuggle migrants in the back of lorries.

In the wake of Enoch Burke’s latest arrest, an old and long-debunked claim suggested that his trouble with the law stems from his refusal to “endorse transgender ideology” or to refer to a trans student by their preferred pronouns.

Debunked: Enoch Burke was jailed (again), but not for refusing to endorse transgender ideology
Misleading claims about the arrest were shared in Spanish, French, and Polish, as well as by UK and US figures.

A: Yes, but you need to remove the dead animal or you will need to keep applying it.

An Amoc shutdown later this century could see millions of Irish people become #climate migrants; this is something our politicians talking tough on cracking down on migration to Ireland should keep in mind, as I discuss in today's @irishexaminer.bsky.social

This is the thing: in a climate-catastrophic world, nowhere will be permanently safe. Nowhere. We will have to move and move and move. So all of the posturing of various nations about keeping immigrants out is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
