I am so glad I retired when I did. But my DIL and others are still fighting the good fight.

Their dairy-free line is very good.

Depends on how much you like ice cream! I mostly love theirs, although occasionally they slip in a ingredient that doesn't work for me (turkey sausage last month, chocolate covered crickets at Halloween).

So familiar!

Safe journey!!

I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I am spending today being thankful that I'm NOT spending it with toxic relatives.

Wow, English is so strange.

I am thankful for many things, including adult children who have taken over most of the work of family Thanksgiving.

Son and DIL are hosting today. I have two sets of veggies to cook later, right before we head over there. We're hosting a "leftovers buffet" on Saturday for everyone who can get here.

Happy Thanksgiving! Looks like some snow in Minnesota today, but not burying level yet. Told YoungerSon (who is up prepping his turkey) to send me photos so I can be extra thankful for "foggy and damp, partly sunny by afternoon."

😆 Happy Thanksgiving!

Things are very mellow here. How are you doing?
November 27, 2025 at 4:03 PM
I only woke up because I was getting text messages from the Minnesota son, who is getting the turkey in the oven. Now I'm having coffee and cat cuddles. Later I will finish my two dishes. Bundle up on that walk!!

That's hilarious! I had to really work to learn to pronount St John correctly as a British first name -- it's basically "Sinjin -- but at least I never said "Street John."

Mine climb to the top every night and knock the tree topper onto the floor. I bought a soft stuffed one, so I just have to keep putting it back on. They go after shiny/'sparkly ornaments. Nothing glass, ceramic or of real sentimental value gets put on these days.
November 27, 2025 at 4:44 AM
I can’t use most of my ornaments now, because of the Savandals. Can’t hang anything breakable. Our tree is quite narrow, which helps a lot with finding space for it. It had more meaning when I could use all the ornaments.
