It is so deeply frustrating to me how much we work for our future, but how little we plan for it. How about we take all the folks that will be replaced by AI and put them back on watching out for our futures and fixing where we are going wrong?

I know how we will meet aliens, they will see a flash of light, and they will point their lenses at it, and when they can see place from where was flash, they will see at best an empty planet covered in lava flows, or just a cloud, and this will be humanity's first contact
