when it comes to apps and programs, I delete and uninstall any that practice big tech's favorite past time: "let's make the free version of the app as inconvenient as possible to try to persuade people to upgrade to the paid subscription model that should not be charged as a subscription model."

I've worked with "generational talents" from places like IAS, but were somehow NOT complete assholes. The odd thing about them is that they produced more cool results.
When assholery limits one's collaborators to fanboys, one doesn't work with as many other talented people, and results suffer.

I have more than one degree in mathematics. I do math and math-adjacent stuff for a living.
This is literally one of the largest problems in the math profession, as well as cryptography. The number of bad actors and outright assholes who get a pass because of published results astonishes me daily.
