On that note:

Trans authors (I mean authors who are trans, NOT cis people who write about trans people), drop your book links here and I'll try to repost as many as I can throughout the day.

Cis people: Repost trans authors' book links.

Cis people who want to complain about being excluded: gtfo
Being a trans author is fucking weird right now. Hell is actively unfolding all around us but I still need to be like, "hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book? It won't make anything better, but it's kinda fun?"

So....hey, everyone, wanna buy my silly little queer book?

🌱The Impromptu Bed. We needed a spot to put some perennials 3 years ago. And now we have to provide some winter protection for a handful of dahlias.
Left side is the bedraggled soggy mess. The right shows the same bed, that’s been cut back and mulched, and now covered in frost cloth.

🌱So… as @heralyn.bsky.social was potting up 300 spring bulbs, I was tasked with placement. The potted dahlias are gone, camellias brought forth, and some bulb pots to await the warmth of spring.
Last year’s pots are under the eaves on the driveway side. They’ll be rotated in once things kick off.

🌱The patio wrap completed for this year. This is an open-on-2-sides patio with a translucent plastic roof. We close it in and use it as a heat sink or large cold frame for some of our potted plants.

Bulb order? Spring? Uh… yeah…
This is the list of 280 new bulbs (tulips, iris, narcissis, hyacinths) from one of our orders. We bought a mass of terracotta earlier this summer in preparation for this.
Each spring, it’s a new show. Plus, we’ll add last year’s pots to the group. 🌱

A bit of sunshine came out over the weekend. This camellia is putting on a nice show in the front patio area. Gives us a lift to see such flowers with winter approaching. 🌱

I need to keep this in mind…
“But that’s just as bad,” protested Milo.

“You mean just as good,” corrected the Humbug. “Things which are equally bad are also equally good. Try to look at the bright side of things.”

“People swallowed that one for years,” commented the Spelling Bee
