Honestly, if you think Nick was talking about Rey's talents in WCW, you probably give Nick too much credit by suggesting he thinks about wrestling at all.
This won't go over well, but Nick's right. Bischoff famously had Mysterio unmasked because he was "unmarketable." Rey debuted in WWE with the mask and they made him a merch juggernaut. The machine, did in fact, get behind him.

If they were to sign him, they couldn't bring him in as just another spot on the roster. It would have to be an inspired role for him to win over the Sickos.
