Saying your film's run time is 10 minutes, when it actually is 19:51 is not wise. It causes me bias about the film before I even watch it.

“In a decade, Pichai said that it'll be normal to build extraterrestrial data centers”.

And he’s definitely not the only one speaking about the *necessity* of data centers in space. Apparently the planet is not big enough for their scaling “laws”.

Sundar Pichai says Google will start building data centers in space, powered by the sun, in 2027
Google announced Project Suncatcher earlier this month. CEO Sundar Pichai now says it could begin building data centers in space as soon as 2027.

First oil fill-up since the new furnace was installed. Much less fuel was needed this time, so hopefully this will continue and save us money.

This will kill repertory theatres. WB has some of the favourable screening terms for indie cinemas. They also have a massive library spanning 100 years of films and HUGE tentpole films that put butts in seats.

Hoarding all that on Netflix would be awful.

The chicken breast I just prepped for dinner was so big, it could have been off a turkey. I ended up slicing it into 4 pieces, each piece was over a 1/4 pound.

Every year since 1988, the United States has recognized World AIDS Day — until now.

Why not? Maybe because the Trump administration doesn’t want to acknowledge that its foreign aid cuts led to nearly 150,000 deaths from AIDS, according to Boston University researchers.

Shameful.

The HP Lovecraft Film Festival is my favorite event to attend each year. The virtual version of the festival starts this weekend. It includes a lot of the great films which they showed at the in person festival, as well as some exclusive virtual films.

mainstream Democrats rushed to throw trans people under the bus based on a wild misread of 2024 that conveniently absolved them of responsibility for the loss
"When we look at opinion polls about what actually motivates voters and their choices at the ballot box, trans issues are often dead last. And it’s worth noting that much of that polling makes no distinction between positive or negative views of trans rights." www.liberalcurrents.com/trans-panic-...
