vs like… i have a dull office job that i don’t think about at the end of the day. It has its frustrations and its not what i wanna do forever, but my coworkers are pretty nice.

Though in fairness its not all bad, my workplace has a really strong union and better pay vs the work you’re doing compared to any creative professions locally.

i think at a point it was clear it wasn‘t worth the often low pay and bad treatment for the ”clout” of a creative role

and dw i don’t think you’re intentionally misleading people or are a bad person!!

I’m just seeing people in versions of this post talking about not using invoices, or lying entirely about what they’re selling (hide nsfw obvs) to get around this which will /also/ lead to account termination

You’ve also repeatedly said in the comments you don’t remember or have any sources for people who’ve had their accounts terminated for saying “commission” in an invoice.

Its not your fault the post has blown up so much but i think its worth being cautious.

I agree people should be careful w how they respond on payments! But there’s a lot of posts like yours that are worded in a way that pushes people away from using invoices at all, and i find that concerning
November 22, 2025 at 5:19 PM
“The way they should use them” you are saying not to use the word “commission” in an invoice, which is fine and multiple times when people have had their account deleted for just using the word commission they’ve later admitted they weren’t using invoices..
November 22, 2025 at 5:17 PM
Yeah the commission bit is misinformation. You’re fine saying commission on an invoice, you risk losing your account if you’re using friends and family for payments and someone mentions commissions bc then you’re breaking TOS

i dunno if this is the solution that'll work best for current social media hellscape~ but I'm just trying things out
