To go off script briefly. Amane is being blamed for all of things he couldn't control. And for ones he could we don't know the truth of.
For instance Tsukasas murder. We don't know the context of the fight of what LED TO IT. Just like now we only know small puzzle pieces not the full picture.

But counter these two points. He cannot control himself when this happens, he cannot break himself free of this demons influence. So he's not in control he's a puppet. For the Red Houses bidding.

He attacks Yashiro and Kou, and when they escape he forgets. Added we have the timeline connection between Hanako and him.

But that's the more grimmer reading, I believe Mr. Yugi potentially wouldn't harm his students. Think about it, what happens when Yashiro asks him if he's happy? The Red House takes over.

Something to point out is Mr. Yugi doesn't recall when he's possessed. We don't know how he ended up here, how he became a victim of the Red Houses clutches. However we the information we are given. It's not too far to stretch he did this with much more malice in mind.

A thing to note, Amane and Hanako aren't the same entirely. Amane is much more reserved and cold (at least at 13). And Hanako I'd say is more bubbly and playful. Amane could be too but Hanako shows more of a social and kinder Amane. Which brings us to Mr. Yugi.

Up til this point in the polt, this being was always here. Always lurking, inside of Tsukasa for starters and possibly Hanako himself. Both twins show their worst with this being id say. And at his worst is in the Severance and Tsukasa at his worst...well constantly.

To add to this, I really like that while for Yashiro, they're small, but they always protect eachother. A mutual respect for the other and care. It's wonderful to see not just male protecting the female, it's both. It's equal. Hananene isn't unique in this aspect but I love it. #tbhk

One thing I love and still love about Hananene is how overtome for the main unis art, we get their love story almost. Yashiro used to always seem not open to being romantically interested in Hananko, as he wasn't ideal. But overtime you can see slowly, she sees all of his ugliness and kindness. (+)

thinking about how TBHK has this old retro feel despite being made in the 2010s. It feels as if they made it in the late 1990s maybe even during Evangelion going into the 2000s. The vibe of the earlier story and vibe just has this 90s goth charm. I love that it's like this combo of shojo and shonen.
