Severe #osteoarthritis makes it impossible for Eloise to run wild with our #burro herd. But #donkeys have their size and amazing healing abilities in their favor. We’ve seen miracles with our #longears. We are keeping her comfortable as she gets lots of stall rest, love, care, and good nutrition.

Donatello is an older #wildmustang, though you can’t tell by the way he runs! He went thru five adopters, countless trainers, starvation, seizure by law enforcement, and a couple rescues before finding lifelong #sanctuary at #Skydog. He’s part of a growing #herd of wild boys who love their freedom.

As Sheeps Rock glows in the setting autumn sun, we remember it was Oct 2017 when the BLM rounded up Goliath, a Salt Wells Creek #stallion, separating him from his family after 26 years free on the range. He and Red Lady, pregnant with their last foal Bodhi, were reunited at Skydog: bit.ly/42s0GV4

Herd checks across our 9000 acres in Oregon involve a lot of hiking on steep, rocky ground. It took Janelle a few days to track down Phoenix's band. You can see how far she had to go to get a good look at them before they ran away.
