Painted in Blood is such an odd fish. I wouldn't call it a boomshoot, but more like a mid 2000s Slavfps. It felt like it was more console coded on my main pc, so I switched up to my pseudo-console setup. The result? Zero pad aim assist and a goofy feeling input.
Seems cool, but needs work.

As a game, it does take Doom in some interesting directions. As a game full of modern stuff...

While I have my issues with it, the fact they reference the beginning of Doom 2016 and then follow it right up with "and then John was a zombie" is fucking brilliant.

Testing both, the Xbox thing feels nice in the hands, but I can't really comment on it much beyond the two minutes I used it.
I do think it is stupid it is considered an Xbox, considering it can only play the PC versions of the game's.

The more I play this, the more bananas it becomes.
It started as a weird extraction soulslike with Elderborne combat, then as you go along and upgrade things, the weapons add abilities from others and it becomes like a high-level Diablo 2 where everything explodes with poison and fire! I love it!

I've not felt that motion sick from a game in a long time. The frame inconsistency, mixed with the weird head movement and the awful feeling mouse inputs... nah mate. I'm not touching this again.

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that a local Lawson was selling things at an absurd discount level. I popped in this evening to grab a rice ball as I was passing. It looks like it is permanently closing. Kinda weird as it was always an old faithful shop for me.
Ah well.

God damn FINALLY!
I finished off Exophobia on my main PC with a M&KB as the last bit felt a bit much on a controller.
It did reveal why I disliked the demo though. Capped 60fps and mouse acceleration. When I'm on pad using a smaller screen at a distance, I can't feel the input issues.
All done!

Turbo Overkill on pad completed.
That was bloody fantastic! While I did not vibe with it on DuelSense, on an Xbox pad it worked really well. I'd advise it to everyone who has a console to give it a shot.
