Re. Any talk of Borussia Dortmund wanting to sign #CFC defender Aaron Anselmino permanently after his loan ends this season..it’s far too early for such a decision to be made and #CFC will continue to assess him as an option for the squad next season in any case.

A piece explaining #CFC’s transfer thinking for 2026. It’s focused on finding the next Palmer/Estevao rather than those already at that level. It’s why interest in Morgan Rogers has cooled. No first team keeper will be bought in January. More here: www.nytimes.com/athletic/683...

There was a lot of disappointment among #CFC fans when the club didn’t sign Mike Maignan in the summer. But is there any need for Maignan now with Rob Sanchez turning things around this year to be one of the most reliable keepers in the PL? My column here: www.nytimes.com/athletic/685...
Robert Sanchez is looking like a reliable No 1 for Chelsea – he’s cut out the mistakes
It is hard to see how other options would be doing better than the Spanish goalkeeper

#CFC are obviously a better team with Cole Palmer, but over the last two months the players have shown that they are not ‘Cole Palmer FC’. Estevao’s magic helps but the numbers show several players have stepped up. More here: www.nytimes.com/athletic/683...

#CFC are now the closest challengers to #AFC in the Premier League. Man City’s defeat to Newcastle means Maresca’s side will end the weekend second in the table. The two London rivals play each a week tomorrow at Stamford Bridge. (Man City can move back to 2nd a day earlier v Leeds).
