He's the one "recreating the terrors of their homelands".

The indescriminate use of handcuffs and zip ties is part of a steady degeneration in the treatment of detainees, suspects, accused or simply now people who look like Latinos. Next we will see hooding - already happens in Israel and the occupied territories. Are the people doing it robotic? No heart?

"U.S. negotiator has warned" = "Russia has warned"

Good joke about the Quality Street.

However Badenoch's speech was some sort of insane ranting street preacher with a megaphone. I only admire her chutzpah. But it's wearying too, and relentlessly wrongheaded.

Who would falsely claim that their personal picture is in your image? Surely their application would be rejected as invalid. It seems a completely unlikely scenario, with some third party putting themselves in the wrong, liable to fraud or public nuisance. It makes no sense.

It blocks the picture. That is the goal. If someone sees their own image unauthorised use, there will be a way to block it. Maybe it's not perfect but it replaces zero recourse.

If it's "your" picture, you are the one who attaches the hash code. Not someone else. No one else is entitled to do so. What you are describing is a weird viewpoint. The fact that something might not be 100% effective is no reason to prevent an improvement to people's rights over their own images.

Then they're saying Reform is more popular? It's complete garbage, in both senses - the loaded survey questions are garbage and Reform is garbage. Even the dogs in the street know. Labour is trying, adapting to get control and direction, having got the wheel of a car on a hairpin bend over a gorge.

Good. I think other commenters are misunderstanding the way it will work. It's giving users control over their own images. Worries about someone limiting someone else's images seem misplaced, as that wouldn't work except in some tortuous and pointless scam of no use to anyone. Just welcome progress.
