The class session was on Ethics and Professional Responsibility. (We read @queenofthinair.bsky.social and @benjaminwittes.lawfaremedia.org , among others.) I had plenty of examples of what not to do to choose from….

I asked students to think about what they would do if they worked for the feds and were tasked with planning an immigration raid on a Catholic Church in a Hispanic neighborhood, now that the official policy against doing that had been rescinded.

Brand is of course still awating trial on UK rape charges, to which he has pleaded not guilty; this is evidently not an impediment to appearing at gatherings with Republican officials including the vice president and HHS secretary. Russell Brand pleads not guilty to rape, sexual assault charges in U.K.
On Friday, Brand pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and assault that date back more than 25 years. He says the charges are politically motivated. His trial is set for 2026.
