Since we’re in the mood, Switch friend code is SW-6878-1042-3606! Just lemme know so I know who is who!
I think there's ways to approach this. People deserve to be paid for their labour. For example. I think critisising Nintendo for charging for Switch 2 updates was unfair given the elapsed time.

On the other hand, Pokemon getting paid DLC a few weeks after launch felt slimy.
Gamers: I hate micro transactions, they shouldn't exist.

Also gamers: every single game should get regular updates and new content for years after release, without me having to pay for it.

Personally I don't like the predatory microtransactions, but I think extra money for extra content is fine.

I sometimes think about getting a used Switch Lite as a cosy small companion to my Switch 2 for when I want something smaller… but then I remember how annoying the draconian Virtual Game Card / Primary/Secondary device system that Nintendo use and it puts me off.

Japanese horror is one of the shared interests of my wife and myself so grabbed this on Black Friday. Seen all these before but still great to watch them again.

Bought my first ever fake cartri… err… game key card. Still gonna be super selective with these - cheapskate Sega can get in the bin with theirs. I’ll avoid most games where publishers are being cheap, but I accept technical reasons where carts might not be viable.

You can get a PS5 for £285 right now and it’s more powerful than this.
Steam Machine's price will be "more in line" with current PC market, Valve says www.eurogamer.net/steam-machin...

It’s funny how the Clair Obscur devs were caught red handed using GenAI, but you never hear people talk about it because people actually like that game so people bent over backwards to believe the ‘it’s a placeholder, honest’ excuse.

The narrative is that consoles are dying and everything is moving to PC, but PC hardware pricing is looking pretty grim and only getting worse. The PS5 has been as low as £285 over Black Friday - you’d struggle to get a single decent gaming PC component for that price.

Switch 2 games look real nice on the shelf even if the front is kinda ruined by the massive banner. Love the left aligned text.

🎵 I've felt the hate rise up in me

Kneel down and clear the stone of leaves

I wander out where you can't see

Inside my shell I wait and bleed 🎵

If only European powers cared a fraction of the amount they do about peace in Gaza as they do about peace in Ukraine. Russia’s actions are terrible but Israel’s significantly worse, yet the difference in response is telling.

Moving from Blades was when Xbox began to lose their way.

I worked night shift on the 360 launch, so I saw 100 people queuing to get their console at midnight.

I went home at 7am and Amazon delivered my console at 8am, a sign of where things were moving to even 20 years ago.

Died 2 times in the QTEs in Tomb Raider on Switch 2 because Nintendo doesn’t know how the alphabet works and puts their buttons all reversed.

I started off moderate on AI and rapidly became anti-AI as companies demonstrated how they were going to use it. They had the chance to show people they would not be awful with it, and they proceeded to be awful with it. No ‘middle ground’ to be found.

WHAT. I didn't financially prepare for this. :(
Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has shadow-dropped on the Nintendo Switch + Switch 2.

Valve absolutely should start using ‘This is a Steam Machine’ to describe everything on the planet capable of running Windows games.

I’ve never played the series before but I’m enjoying the new Hyrule Warriors game for Switch 2 more than Tears of the Kingdom. I don’t think it’s the better game objectively, but certainly I’m having more fun with it.
