Yeah I don’t like it when a remaster (god there’s no consistent terminology for these is there) sandpapers too many rough edges. Even visually. The soul of the game is lost.

I agree for 99% of cases but I do think there’s a case for interesting reinterpretations of the original mechanics, characters and stories - RE2 Remake, for example. Or FF7. The originals are always still there and easily buyable.
