Poverty IS a choice.

Not by the individual, but by our society.

Every single step of the way, someone is trying to make sure you do not get access to something you need to survive.

You soon learn that they’d rather pay to keep you poor than help you live.
How It Happens:
Disability & Poverty 🧵

1. You get sick &/ injured & cannot work. You don’t qualify for WSIB, so you go on STD, if you have it, & start pursuing treatment &/ rehab options as soon as you’re physically & mentally able to do so.
I’m very bitter that the Aurora was not visible over Aurora (Ontario)
Lots of folks captioning aurora photos like "for a few minutes we didn't think about politics"

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

Having had my access to disability welfare weaponised during two Court cases and the denial used to harm me.

And left with 0

Both times.

Yeah.

Besides that, I get the distinct impression KELA wants me to wear a hair shirt and rub ash into myself, whilst never getting better until I kill myself

We need more deaf performers in mainstream not just bc of inclusion & representation but also bc deaf performers are often just really good.

As soon as you have been exploited to the point that you can no longer afford housing, you are discarded.

The unhoused are often not seen as fully human. They are no longer individuals, but a concept. A problem that can be serviced, but not solved.

There are also going to be cishet men—I saw this after MeToo—who were so confused about consent that they didn’t realize they had been victims. Once they become fluent in the language of consent, they begin to realize—that “friend” was a predator, & they were a victim, & that can be very difficult.
November 13, 2025 at 4:04 PM
There are also going to be men—kind, loving, gentle men—who will see themselves & their complicity in using exploitative practices to get what they want from women: not sex, but love, companionship, tenderness, compassion, nurturing. Some will lash out. Some will become depressed. It’s always a lot.

You don’t have to have been a victim for this to be traumatic. Neurodivergent friends, I am talking to you. Protect your peace.

On the one hand, the outrage is vindicating. Yes it is this bad. Yes it has always been this bad. Yes, when it comes to sexual exploitation of women, girls, boys, addicts, disabled ppl, poor ppl, queer ppl, ppl w/o support systems, there is an entire society keeping us weak & victimized. Yes.
November 13, 2025 at 3:54 PM
A lot of victims are told in so many different ways that the law will protect them, & if not, then they can always go to the media. But we all know this isn’t true. It’s cute that some ppl think it is. It’s not cute that those ppl are finding out that it’s not. I’m so tired.

For whoever needs to hear this rn. I didn’t protect myself the way I should have or the way I needed to in the past w MeToo, Kavanaugh, etc.

Now that I’ve been thru cPTSD therapy I understand that prioritizing my peace is stronger than acting strong.

Let this be ur permission to look away.
“Don’t look away” is to me the correct directive to men who don’t understand, or perhaps to women who enable these men w/o realizing how utterly stupid & terrible they actually are. But for those of us who understand deeply, who’ve been trying to show ppl this forever, we need to protect our peace.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

All this to say, when trans people can be out, that’s def when they are the most handsome and beautiful!

For folks able to be themselves- it brings such a glow that it radiates even on soured days.

Glad you were able to come out!

I’m working w my physio on learning how to down regulate my nervous system so that the exercises I need to do aren’t as strenuous & are more effective bc otherwise they trigger PEM so I’m going to limit my exposure to Epstein stuff on here for now. Will check DMs & maybe some chill channels tho

The billionaires, media, and both major US parties cooperate with each other to fuck the American populace. It's going to be hard to keep in mind that all of it needs to be toppled. But it's...everything. Is the whole goddamn apparatus.

We are a failed state.

Both parties and the media are getting their instructions from the same informal conspiracy walled garden party of rich elites playing monopoly with our lives for their profit and pleasure. The billionaires are the true enemy, and the media will be their foot soldiers here.

"This could take down Democrats, too."

I know. And I frankly wouldn't give even an itty bitty damn if it implicated every Democratic man in Congress, every Democratic hopeful for 2028 and every Democrat who has even thought about running for office.

Down with the sex predators, wherever they are.

Insecure men are afraid of women.

That is why they exploit us as children.

That is why they oppress us as adults.

They know we are stronger even than their abuses, so they make laws to protect themselves & disempower us.

My fellow survivors, do not forget: men are afraid of women.

The notion abusers need to resort to conspiracies and subterfuge is more comforting than the truth that many people will readily look the other way when confronted with sexual violence if doing otherwise would even slightly inconvenience them
Pizzagate: If you replace the word “hot dog” with “little boy” and “pizza party” with “child sex orgy,” you will see the lengths these elites go to cover up their crimes.

Real elite emails: Send me nude pictures of those 8th graders we abused last weekend post-haste! I am the Ambassador to Turkey.

Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

My generation’s obsession with Law & Order: SVU makes a whole lot more sense now that we know that the era of our pubescence was actually as rapey as it felt at the time. NGL this is all hard for me to keep up w bc it confirms what I felt in my bones at age 12 about my body’s inherent liabilities.

Wild how every single member of the political and business elite went into full drooling fascism the second the prospect of consequences for abhorrent behavior started to seem possible
My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far
