I’ve only posted one GFM, and it’s my intention never to post another. But this one is close to my heart. I know the family personally and have visited with them countless times. If you can help out, it would be great. If not, I completely understand - but a retweet is free.

Welcome! Glad you’re here.
Hi folks -

I’m a new kid in the neighborhood so please be patient with me while I sort things out. I’ll have a graphic up as soon as I figure out how to do it.

About me: I’m a perennially incipient geezer, up in years but not gonna be “old” until I’m drooling and incommunicative in my chair.

Chinese battery maker is launching mass produced sodium ion batteries with claimed 3.5x lifespan lithium and $10/kwh. Lithium is $115.

If true, fossil fuel use for almost any purpose is done. Solar & wind combined with cheap grid & home storage changes everything.

This. All of this.
People are shocked to discover they need to fact-check ChatGPT and I'm having the uncomfortable realization that they never fact-checked their uncle's Facebook posts, their friend's medical advice, or literally anything Google's top result told them, and suddenly the last decade makes sense...

Maybe this was never the place I thought it was. That image is likely just the selective memory or the idealized version of it all as filtered through a more naive, less aware, more optimistic version of myself. Still, the sense of loss is the same.

It’s insane to think that the Trump administration was more welcoming this week to the Tate brothers than to the President of Ukraine.

We just received word that the DOJ has begun removing data detailing criminal charges and convictions related to Trump loyalists. This started with records from the January 6th insurrection, but additional records are now being erased. We will keep you updated once we have more info.

Do I have this right? Elon Musk - the guy in charge of preventing wasteful spending - dropped $40M on a Super Bowl ad?

We could permanently house 800 homeless veterans for $40M. Or provide five million meals to the hungry. Or replace lead pipes in 8,500 homes.
