Yes, there are tears of gratitude at the end of the video. I thought about re-recording and trying harder not to tear up, but as my friend Katie says, I'm in my F*ck-it Forties now. So f*ck it. Yes, I have some feelings. I wouldn't be #writing this #memoir if I didn't. (3/3)

People imagine #writers sitting alone in a small room typing away, and there's plenty of that—but there's also a lot that happens away from the keyboard. Truly, it takes a village, even when you're telling your own story. (2/3)
