(progress is good but slow, more news later this year)

the amount of art assets in clam2 called Untitled_Artwork (3) is embarrassingly high

In order to keep up with modern video game visuals, we here at ClammoCo have really been kicking up the 4d3d3d3 on the graphics lately

Sharing no more shots from this scene because of spoilers but enjoy this clammy ambience with sound on

Bittersweet feelings today as I'm setting up the last playable scene in Clam2 (I say this but knowing me, I'll 100% add three other bonus scenes at some point)
July 22, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Sorry for the lack of updates lately - just gone through a massive move and just now starting to settle in! Clam dev is going well though, except I'm not drawing and animating a backlog of 12 characters during a murderous heat wave

More news presumably later on at some point!

very unexpected development today while working on one of the late-game areas of the game

wow so dynamic

POTENTIAL SPOILER WARNING

Being a hand-drawn 2D game, most of Clam 2 has static lighting, but for some areas I've done my best to fake dynamic shadows and lights as much as possible. This scene got a polish pass today, and I think it's a million times better.

perfect timing to close Unity and play more Doom: The Dark Ages

I think this is really funny but I'm not sure if it fits the general tone of the game

then again, maybe that's why I think it's funny

Just finished implementing what I think is a really funny sequence in Clam 2 and I desperately want to share it, but at this point we're reaching late game spoilers so I kind of have to hold off. Making good progress but it's been a *lot* of work lately, hopefully I can keep it up!

I also wonder what the menswear twitter guy would say about these spectacular pants

Clam 2 features such profound writing as
"I'd probably hate me too, if I was making a massive profit on me being dead without making any money myself."
February 16, 2025 at 5:39 AM
I have some very surprising and wild news (all positive) to share at some point, but for now, I'll say this;

I'm working as hard as I can to finish Clam Man 2: Headliner in the next six months. It's going to be difficult, and I might have to cut things from the initial release, but I'll do my best.

The gang

Sometimes I really don't want to write another stand-up bit, and instead write ten times the amount of words just to circumvent it with something else.

I won't say where this is, what this is, or where you can find it, but it's my favorite hidden scene yet.

Pleased and somewhat confused to announce that there is now not only a review of one of the in-game shows (obviously different depending on how it went), but also a chance to instead get a 1000-word essay written by an in-game critic about the relationship of art and critique

I want you to know that when "YOURSELF" in Clam2 says

"I've suffered severe enough damage to all my sensibilities to just mindlessly yay-or-nay-say whatever wacky outcome the little icosahedron determines."

that's me saying it, and meaning it, and calling out for help
