That is very sad indeed. They have a shop here, I shall miss it.

Didn’t know what a lambic was so had to look it up. That sounds complicated as well as delicious! Hope the cellar move last week went well before this new influx.

Morning Jules, fellow ORCs. Wednesday is laundry day and food deliveries, and today I’m boiling up a chicken carcass for stock. A domestic day as the weather threatens to be wet. Had a lovely walk yesterday in the gloom, still lots of autumn colours on the trees to be enjoyed.

Morning cats! Jules just beat you to it this morning. Enjoy your day!

… and no one really seems to care or take responsibility for anything. It’s not just you noticing these things, and you’re certainly not incapable. But you’re doing a lot of catching up at the moment, so it may get easier with time?

I’m not sure I know the answer to any of the above but wanted to let you know that I’d read it all (and the email you sent me, thank you).

I think technology has in many ways improved our lives but also it’s made customer service (what that?!!) so much worse as everything is hidden away…/2

I have noticed this too, recently.

Rolls eyes. Again. 🙄

Though I see we have an interim, James Roscoe.

I don’t think Mandelson has been replaced yet.

I think all who fought in WWI very quickly became disillusioned by the horror of it all. Which makes what he did all the more heroic.

The spray is also oily, but dries fairly quickly if you massage it in.

A true hero.

Use magnesium oil spray for the soles of the feet - double benefits that way!

Morning CiF and ORCs. Our village also has a war memorial service at 11. When I was growing up in the 50s, the whole country seemed to come to a halt, but that hasn’t happened for a long time.

That I can totally understand. 😢

You’ve been through and are going through a lot, but it won’t always be this way. Hang in there! 💪
November 10, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Absolutely shocking that we don’t value our doctors. 😢
November 10, 2025 at 9:16 PM
What have they said about your eyes? Round here the waiting list for cataracts isn’t all that long but I’m sure it’s different in different parts of the country. Hopefully won’t be too long for you. 🤞

They are so beautiful. ❤️

Certainly the private jab is the most up-to-date there is; I don’t know what the NHS one is. Interesting about the doctors!
November 10, 2025 at 9:00 PM
😢
November 10, 2025 at 8:09 PM
I’m furious about it, as many who’d be considered vulnerable, as well as those between 65-75, and medical and care staff have all been denied the NHS Covid jab this year.
