i’m at the brooklyn training. amazing energy.
@handsoffnyc.bsky.social is training thousands of New Yorkers on how to protect their neighbors from ICE. Today, they are currently running two trainings in Brooklyn and the Bronx, both of which hit capacity because interest was so high.

This is the way, y’all—we protect each other, and we know it.

I've said this before, but there are two kinds of people in the world.

- People who have suffered or been traumatized by something, and think it's unfair unless everyone else also suffers
- People who have suffered or been traumatized by something and don't want anyone else to experience that.

Infested with CEO thought. Work at company milking dry by inflicting as much short term damage needed to goose profits, move on, but in this case not moving on so much as betting they’ve stymied appointments long enough to ensure no repercussions for 20 or more years then retire to lecture circuit.

There are many constitutional questions that are complicated. There are many questions around the Citizenship Clause that are complicated. The citizenship of the children of unlawful entrants and temporary visitors to the US is not complicated.

New piece.

On how media, leaders, and all the rest of us focus breathlessly on individual personalities on the far right instead of the networks they’re part of.

And in realizing that, we can find the answer for how to defeat them.

Networks, networks, networks.
Americans are waking up to right-wing antisemitism. We're still ignoring the root problem
Concerns about antisemitism on the right have focused on individuals like Nick Fuentes and Tucker Carlson. But networks are the real issue.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

More and more, every day
At some point you realize that the prominent, powerful people you see on your screens are mostly morons who either got lucky or are saying things billionaires want to hear, and that nobody smart or competent is in charge, and we're all just collectively flailing, and it's a miracle anything works.

X (powered by Grok!) notified me of a quote allegedly by WH press sec Karoline Leavitt: "You’re either a U.S. citizen or not. You can’t be a U.S. citizen and a citizen of another country."

I Googled it. First a lot of unverifiable social posts... 🧵 1/3

Agent
High performer
Lean

Now financialize ✅

Corp jargon is so dumb + actually a very well adopted, totally acceptable smokescreen people wield with pride (guilty myself sometimes)

Say what you mean, team!
