finished the "final" round of touch-ups on the major arcana :) my work on the rom for version 1 of liquid crystal dreams tarot is officially done. now it's just time to decide if i'm going to add in a ton more work >_>

playing with this design for a bookshelf; the shelves will be live edge walnut and probably doweled in from the outsides. legs something light, maybe maple? whatever the lumber yard has. it's going to look a little like a stepladder when it's empty but i think it'll be nice when it's full

Moss and I built a lyre together! and another partner contributed a good tuning! and i'm just so proud, i have never built something this cool! I hope to build more in the future! and maybe use tuning machines like on a guitar instead of pegs, because the zither pins are a huge pain to tune

My partner Saturn/Moss made this lyre with me! It's inspired by the Sutton Hoo lyre, a 7th century burial find. I'm so proud of it!!
It's a lyre! A wooden rectangular instrument. The bottom half is a box with sound hole, and he upper half is empty. Strings stretch from pins on the upper half to a wooden triangle at the bottom. It's all in a light yellowy brown wooden color, kinda shiny.

new generator inspired inspired this lovely keyboard-driven typewriter glockenspiel, so it can't be all bad. The keyboard actuates hammers that hit the stone chimes, which resonate through trumpet bells behind.

Called a spider, after the cage over the top of this drum. It dangles beads on strings. The drum is held in one hand and the spider struck with the other, to cause the beads to dance and strike the drum head.

got these shorts at a clothing swap knowing they were like... many sizes too small. but they were cute and looked so comfy and i wanted them. so i took them to modify! i think i did a pretty good job, doing this in the most complicated possible way (take them apart all the way, then sew panels in)
a pair of black denim shorts, with many of the seams ripped open and the whole construction spread out on a wood floor. it has two waistbands sticking out. a picture of my hips/pelvis showing off the finished modified shorts. i'm pulling up my shirt and my belly spills over the waistband a little. the shorts are black with off-black panels sewn in on the sides, quite short, and have a button fly. a closer shot of just the side of the pants, showing the off-color panel i've addedd in, which the two waistbands pass over nicely. you can see that it's white on the back where the hem is folded over. also, my butt looks really nice and round. a shot of the back; you can see the two waistbands (it's got an extra decorative waistband below the first??) have their extra panels sewn in at the center of the back.

a few days ago i finished a project i'd had hanging over my head and i'm SO happy with the outcome. i made a shirt based on a pattern from fabrics-store.com and it's so cute and comfy!

apparently it's #makeaterriblecomicday2025 so i made a comic using my inscrutable divinatory measures!!!

if you're wondering what i've been up to, i've gotten obsessed with cad speedruns. there's a community where they'll compete on who can model a set of technical drawings in CAD fastest. since learning onshape last week i've been drawing up a storm
a low plastic bracket rendered in gray material in CAD software an object which is maybe shaped like a slender bottle or vase, with decorative diamond cutouts around a curved middle section and a bulbous bottom. on the left is a list of features showing how the object is defined. a whole bunch of CAD documents showing various parts, all originally from Too Tall Toby, modified over the past couple days
