I have a distinct memory of my mom walking in on me and my grandpa watching sailor moon. She asks what we're doing. Grandpa answers "Watching cute girls fighting monsters nothing wrong with that." I miss that man.

Was never big into harry potter, but in high school loved Orson Scott Card. Then the Ender's game movie came out and news talk about him and his support of conversion therapy made the rounds. Haven't picked up another book of his and never recommend him.

A nice side affect was my mom made sure I got every vaccination possible growing up. Every time I went in for a school required vaccination she would ask "What else can he get?". Didn't appreciate it much as a child but sure do as an adult.

I was hospitalized as a baby with measles. Was too young to have received the mmr vaccine. The amount of disinformation about vaccines but measles especially is maddening.
