So ehm... Ended up sorting music for 2-3 hours but then played for a good half hour and I am EXHAUSTED 💀
Managed to get my first A rank (at novice though lol) 🤘

I loved the romances between Meya and her two loves and how both unfolded differently but just as naturally. When we meet Meya, she is already on the run and just trying to survive, the full weight of what she has endured has not yet hit her when even more trauma comes her way. This book is about vampires and steamy romance, yes. But it's also about Meya re-learning how to be a human being and finding herself again after so much hardship has beaten her down. There is a scene at the start that sticks in my mind because even those the people who hurt Meya are dead, it's clear she still doesn't feel safe yet; her mind is still living through the trauma even though her body is safe (or as safe as it can be in the castle of a vampire....). This is true for most trauma survivors. It takes a long time for the mind to finally realize the danger is past and this was so perfectly portrayed in this book. Come for the spice and horror, stay for the healing and trauma recovery. ~ Lily

And amazon royally fucked up the cutting of the pages 😑
So the printed edges on the top & bottom are skewed cos the printer/merger/whatever decided halfway to shift the pages half an inch. The side image is also fucked cos even with bleed amazon was like "add a white edge here & only 3 pixels there"

The comment made Amy’s stomach turn. With gritted teeth, she repressed the desire to claw the man’s eyes out. Do I look like some fucking dog? Lucius smiled, placing his hand on Amy’s shoulder for a moment before turning to the rest of the guests. “Everyone, please take your seats.” Amy was seething inside. Maybe I should just break this third rule and see how much carnage I can inflict with a pair of steak knives. As everyone began taking their seats, Amy turned her gaze down and, while focussing on her breathing, took her place at the end of the table. Keep calm. Don’t do anything you’ll come to regret—you just got out of the pit and have no nails left to be pulled. She shuddered at the thought of all Lucius might do instead to punish her.

Couldn’t find any catering willing to serve long pig?
