Basically, it may look similar to Twitter, but if you come into it with the same algorithm-trained expectations, it's very frustrating. It takes some change in perspective to get what you want out of it.

Bluesky is about 2 things: quality over quantity, and equal exchange.

Quality over quantity: Twitter has numbers, but they're often vacuous. Bluesky's signify more active user engagement.

Equal exchange: You have to give the same engagement you want others to give you.
