As someone who was an engineer in the coal industry, I do not recommend this. Coal is absolutely the dirtiest fuel out there and it took us a long time and a lot of effort to make the emissions liveable. I feel bad for the people who live down stream, they will pay with their health, guaranteed.

No packaging to discard.
No tariff taxes.
No sales taxes.
Less garbage produced.
Usually a more thoughtful purchase.
Better quality for the money.
Doesn't put more money and power into corporations.
I more appreciate second hand and hand crafted presents.
It's the thought.
