You can make them VERY uncomfortable by sitting, standing or walking right beside them. Look right at them. Make it clear that you are listening to what should be an indoor, private conversation. An effective deterent, but the drawback is that the dialogue is always banal.

Mostly minor things. Straight quotes instead of smart quotes (a typographical error). Repeated phrases. "haven been". I'll see if I can get some page numbers to you. Don't have the book in front of me right now. I love it though! Please forgive my former legislative editor pickiness.
