Best/worst moment: hearing an amazing (AMAZING) band play Darling Nikki for the first time ever in my life, and feeling the groove so hard, and The Kid is being maximally toxic in that moment, and… how does one behave as an audience member in that moment??

I think I speak for all of us - strong preference for you to tell this story in a song.

Bonus: we walked past Tableau, George Morrison's granite mosaic at the Nicollet entrance to the Loring Greenway (nicolletmallart.org/the-journey-...), and remembered that his first solo show at The Met just opened. Amazing and overdue recognition for a MN great. www.mprnews.org/story/2025/1...
The Journey of Tableau, A Native American Mosaic and Artist George Morrison
Nicollet features a collection of public art that rivals the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden at the Walker Art Center. But it has a significant work of art that the Sculpture Garden lacks – a rare out…

I took our new MN GreenCorps member on a walk through Nicollet, Peavey Plaza, Loring Greenway, Loring Park, Mpls College, Harmon, and Hennepin yesterday - super dreamy on a crisp fall day.

Exhibit C: I got to know Anna as she was planning for this project and I love what she's doing (and the City's support of it). Support this project and learn more by attending their open house tmrw. Their Instagram is really fun, too - Center for People and Craft.

An open house in Loring Park this weekend offers a sneak peek at the upcoming Center for People and Craft.

They just freshened up the Go Lynx street mural on 1st Ave N for the playoff run. Someone who works for the team told me the first person to notice was Sylvia Fowles!

It’s very challenging to get everyone aligned on any big street project in Mpls. I’ve personally worked on improving transit and biking DT for over a decade and I’m proud of the improvements we’ve made. If you ever want to actually talk about this stuff, I’d welcome that.

That’s a mischaracterization, Taylor. We’ve been working with Public Works and stakeholders on this project for years. There were concerns about design details that were expressed that led to improvements in the layout. We’ve supported building a grid of protected bikeways DT since 2013

That’s just not me, unfortunately. I don’t enjoy debating things on social media, and I think this is too complex a topic. I’m engaging today because I like the people who organized the event last night and I was bummed out by the polarized response to it.
