Im watching a friend's puppy while he is at the ER, and it has come to this. Fences. Agatha in the chair like a little gargoyle, and Luther doing his best If this gate weren't here, I'd... Meanwhile, the puppy is finally asleep after 3 hrs.

this albino squirrel has managed to live for years. Just stays on a large school campus with another albino squirrel. That's a pretty great adaptation.
Very white squirrel on a tall dark brown tree trunk. Has a particularly long white tail and is attached by all four feet with his head tossed over his shoulder (or whatever we call them in squirrels)

i thought of Jig in the Hemingway story, when she steps away from The American & looks at all the beauty & lushness and says something like, And we could have all of this. We could have everything and every day we make it more impossible. (Almost right, not looking it up. Have taught it many times)

In the world of nice things, picked up this stained glass lamp for $60 today.
A 12-14 inch stained glass lamp (mostly blues, greens, yellows,& pinks) on an antique 1/2 table (I inherit things I don't know the names of) next to a small snake plant. All under a winter open swim painting w/ the backs of a few older ladies, but mostly sea and sky in blues,gold, pinks

Both in the back of my gray volvo: Agatha, tri-colored small beagle resigned to her fate, eyes closed. Luther, in front of her, mostly red and white w/ red ticks, is intense/ alert and put me in coach-ish.
