For new arrivals…hi, I’m Sarah. I’m a law librarian and legal technologist. My past is EDU and A2J, but now work more with Big Law. I like making things better, open source and free law, professional development, and telling people they’re wrong. I live in rural USA with my 82 year old dad.

In case you’re wondering why Pete Hegseth is freaking out about a congressional video reminding the military not to participate in illegal orders:
To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

We took advantage of Opt Outside Day today and visited the Indiana Dunes State Park. The nature center has some reptiles on display and this sign was on the enclosure of a rat snake. I have never felt more seen.

Also, Nuremberg references are a great way to remind people that in the 1940s SCOTUS justices thought their job was to PROSECUTE war crimes, not enable them.

The Roberts Court will clearly be remembered as one of, if not the, worst SCOTUS in US history. Remind them TODAY of how pathetic they are.

They definitely need to be tried in The Hague. They should be terrified of ever stepping foot off US territory.

But they should also be prosecuted in the US. They need to spend the next three years terrified of what will happen when the administration changes.
Hegseth - and the people carrying out his orders - need to be tried in The Hague for this

Trials. Trials. And more trials.

And the Dems thinking abt running for President need to start chanting “trials!” YESTERDAY.

Put the fear of future trials in them NOW, so they stop doing this TODAY.

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social’s feed should just be pics of Nuremberg Trials over and over again.

The entire business model of R1 public universities rests on 4 revenue sources:

1. Federal grants
2. Private gifts/endowments
3. Tuition (esp. from foreign students)
4. State $

For decades, 📈 in 1-3 offset a secular 📉 in 4. Now, 1 & 3 are being decimated & 4 ain't coming back. The math is clear.
