I was out late at night with our old dog when she startled a skunk. I was close enough to get almost as much of the spray as she did. We both stank for days, and in her case, weeks because every time she went in the water the smell got stronger again. Deeply unpleasant experience!

Day Two in #Halifax was a little rainy but it didn’t stop us.

Spent the morning with @bikehfxlobby.bsky.social & @envirojen.bsky.social touring the city on protected infrastructure, trails, on a boat, over a bridge and in the middle of the street. Epic, lovely, scattered, want more! Thank you ❤️✊🏾📢😜

when our kids were young it was my life goal to not have drivers steal their place of play (the speeding drivers drove me freakin bonkers) we tried to do whatever we could to give them that space and slow down traffic, was happy to have drivers hate me if it meant my kids could play outside

also used to put pylons out on our street corner that drivers would take too fast - so it just shrunk down the road and forced them to slow down - these were simple, small but effective traffic calming anyone could do, especially when you've had enough of the city doin nothing.

when our kids were younger we used to block off the road for some space and now I see younger families doing the same and it's the best
