We received notice from the CDC that our funding for Care-A-Van has been terminated, effective March 24, 2025. As a result of this unexpected decision, we must immediately suspend Care-A-Van operations. Thank you to all of our requestors and community partners for your support.

My deepest apologies to Ukraine. My deepest, heartfelt, devastated apologies to you all. I cannot believe what our nation has become under this wretched man. May God forgive us, and may He come to the aid of the people of Ukraine. Gracious Lord, have mercy.

Dear Manager:

1. Tumble out of bed
2. Stumble to the kitchen
3. Pour myself a cup of ambition
4. Yawn & stretch
5. Try to come to life

The reality is that for many of us, who are from a traditional, religious, culturally conservative background, the world has irrevocably changed from 2016 until now. The things we thought were solid turned out to be but shifting sands.
I feel like a stranger among my own people, most of the time.

Dear TV writers: Could we please retire the frightened-person-running-thru-the-woods-and-inevitably-tripping scene? You could put it in the TV-scene half of fame and just bring it out for lifetime achievement awards every 50 years and we’d be good.

Well that’s New Year’s Eve done. Went on the early end to an open house party and now back home in jammies waiting for NY to ring it in. Since it’s PNW dark already might as well call it a day!

“Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the dawn from on high will visit us to shine on those who live in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

The “way of peace” is the way of Christ.

Didn’t know I needed Christmas music ‘til this came up on my playlist: Come Thou Long Expected Jesus. A few lines that hit home…

From our fears and sins release us
Let us find our rest in Thee

By Thine all sufficient merit
Raise us to Thy glorious throne
