Picked up my vacation read at the library today
Stylistically and chronologically, they're very close. You can see the similarities just by looking at the pages. I haven't read MANSECT, so perhaps Ryan Holmberg talks about it in his usual essay, but that's a connection worth talking about.

IMO @jas-hice.bsky.social's Bowling World inside Butter Zine #1 is honestly worth the price of admission, although the whole anthology is really interesting. Also especially liked @whitecomics.bsky.social's diptych "It Could Never Be Any Other Way" / "Could It Be Any Other Way."

Reading books and posting about them! As promised! I just finished Teddy Goldenberg's GOODNIGHT AND SWEET DREAMS! from @kushkomikss.bsky.social. Funny, loose, and strange, these short stories were a perfect start to the comics-reading year.

#8. I Am Not Okay With This by Chuck Forsman - the show based on this book goes in some substantially different directions, which is fine, but the comic is some of Forsman's best work.
