You can’t harass customers into coming back. You *can* drive employees to hate their job, while wierding out the customers you have left until they leave too.

One of the moments that made me think maybe we did this thing right was my eldest’s decision to not be on social media. No twitter, ‘gram, snap, nothing. He said his friends were always stressed over something on the internet, so he opted out. Closest he comes is YouTube comments.

Kept forgetting to mention a seemingly minor issue every time I brought my car in for maintenance. Car died at a stop light. Had to pay for a tow and diagnostics to discover it was the battery.

First of all, figuring out that I have ADHD as opposed to being ‘smart but lazy’ like I was told my whole life. Also, my whiteboard for lists, a collection of treats for completing tasks, and a new way of cleaning when overwhelmed. Walk by the mess, pick up 3 things, then move on. Rinse, repeat.
