The SLATED Christmas video — soothing, calming, and blissfully short (unlike the Late Latee Toy Show marathon).

Sit down, have a glass of something, and browse slated.ie and support an Irish business while you’re at it.

Rory Gallagher - Rory Gallagher (1971)

It's a pity that this album is not more popular. It's much more than a typical blues rock record. I can highly recommend it to everyone.

If you were to buy a 10 track album via Bandcamp for £13. Post fees, for the artist, that's the equivalent of streaming all 10 tracks, on Spotify, every day, for a year

But Spotify would pay the artist £0, as 365 streams per track doesn't reach their threshold of 1,000

So, you know, go to Bandcamp

Before Dublin wakes, Poolbeg rises first.

We hand-cut the slate. Then we carve the chimneys into stone, deep enough to stay forever.

Some skylines are views.
This one is belonging.

Home is where the chimneys rise.

Pride is where they stay. ✨

The last 3.5 yrs a small, stubborn team has been rebuilding an independent bookshop, powered by tea, spreadsheets & a slightly excessive love of books.
We’re now officially An Post Bookshop of the Year & our MD, Mick Finucane, has written a 5 a.m. blog about it

It is 5 a.m. and I am sitting at the kitchen table, my jacket and bow tie abandoned somewhere in the hall, far too wired to sleep. A few hours ago, at the An Post Irish Book Awards, Chapters was named...

Rising over the Bay, the Killiney Obelisk didn’t ask to become a symbol — it just did.

Salt wind, summers remembered, winters survived.

Generations looked up and felt grounded.

Now its silhouette is carved in the Obelisk Board from Slated.ie

On ZTT, same as Frankie GTH'wood - Ralf Dörper, Michael Mertens, Claudia Brücken & Susanne Freytag. Did 1 LP "A Secret Wish" in '85, then "1234" '90 (only Mertens remained). Recently, two girls put out an LP as XPropaganda, and the guys did new one as Propaganda.
