I don't know that it changes the election if this comes out, or his rise to HHS. But the underlying journalistic malpractice by bot Nuzzi and Lizza is a textbook example of the flaw in American political journalism.

Nuzzi was advising him on his realignment with Trump, and his campaign as an independent wasn't getting much traction from the left - polling at the time showed he was pulling more Trump votes than Biden/Harris.

Say what you want about her, (and I have) but she knew what the job entailed and embraced it, and possibly even relished the challenge of doing it.
Johnson (and I suspect Schumer) just wanted the title of leader, not the work and responsibility.
