The Forest Service is the largest source of municipal water in our country. This water directly impacts 33 states, spanning rural areas and major cities like Portland, Los Angeles, Denver, and Atlanta, which receive a significant portion of their water from the Forest Service.
The land eligible for sale matches the land with the highest water sources.
This isn't about trees, but about water.
Under this bill, citizens won't even be able to comment on the land being sold, almost as if they have buyers lined up.
This is a threat to multi-trillion dollar industries, our local economy, our national economy, the tax burdens of our citizens, and our very own lives.
