I have first hand experience of this, as an ex-teacher who has stopped work due to long covid. There’s a lot of cognitive dissonance in the teaching profession regarding covid. Catching colds and flu is seen as part of the job, and going to work while sick is treated as a badge of honour.

A lot of the time it isn’t just budget restraints hindering clean air in classrooms. Many teachers don’t want to admit to themselves that they’re part of the problem, and prefer to keep their heads in the sand regarding airborne transmission.

Long covid is still causing mass disability from repeated infections, also, it’s very hard to get an official diagnosis for LC. As well as this, we’ve known for years now that covid can cause mental health issues. Maybe they should look into this instead of attacking kids with ADHD?
