With the “even better bike lane” program, we can see SDOT is now ready to add concrete, but I guess now the problem is cost

Interurban and Burke-Gilman trails have nice bollards but only outside Seattle. Seattle removed most of the bollards on both trails. I know KC had to settle after an accident, but in that case the bollard was not installed according to their own guidelines.

View from the playground. As usual, the parking lot has decent lighting, but there is no light on the playground. Let Seattle Parks know in this survey, since they will rebuild the playground: engageseattleparks.com/glcc-and-poo...

And today another person reported a truck driving full speed on the Burke Gilman trail: www.reddit.com/r/seattlebik... . What’s wrong with drivers?

Adding lights and canopies on playground will really help during the winter! Maybe something like this playground in Mercer Island: maps.app.goo.gl/sjtHyhambpzp... it is not fully covered but this is already a good improvement

Thanks for the info, great to see more traffic calming measures. Is the greenway extension still planned? The following page has not received updates since summer 2024: www.seattle.gov/transportati...

This is bad indeed. I saw a review of a local bike shop complaining the shop didn't want to work on Rad bike, or even let the Rad bike inside the shop due to liability... now I understand more why...

Wow, this completely defeats the purpose of the greenway. They need to add some diverters or something. Most of the greenways I use in my area have barely any traffic, except when a construction detour sends all the cars onto the greenway.

I wonder how many votes Harrell lost because of this. With traffic safety ranked as the top concern for residents in the Seattle University survey, this single debacle may have cost him many votes.

Yeah, at 4:50pm this particular playground was still really busy, 15 minutes later it was too dark and everybody had left

Oh weird, i thought SPS usually keeps the playgrounds open on evenings and weekends.
