In October 2017, my vet told me I wasn't getting a miracle, and that I needed to start considering what happened next. One of those things, for me, was immediately obtaining a Maine Coon kitten to keep me alive again. Enter Elsie.

This was Alice. She was--and is--the most important person in my life. Yes, she's a cat. That doesn't matter. She was born in 2008, and we met when she was ten days old. She was mine. From the moment we met, she was mine.

Not until I'm given the go-ahead. Right now I'm only allowed to admit to the students who've been named by the press release (Eula, Alandra, Segante). But I'm really excited about the Command Tower! It's my first creative text credit. You should look at it!

Ella requested some out-of-enclosure time, and was granted it, right until she decided to start jumping at anything she wanted to explore. I refuse to get her this close to adulthood and let her be eaten by a cat.

Taddius is the first of my orchid mantises to reach adulthood. He is a very handsome lad, and I am incredibly proud of him.
