Then again, I’m only 450 miles from the stadium. I should have just bought a ticket and popped over to Lumen Field…

Translation, “I will hide my political contributions better in the future.”

Remember, half of Citizens United was to remove limits and the other half was anonymity. Nepon was only using half of the toolkit.

Samba mixes syncopation from Africa with military drums. Count in two (a march.) In Rio, the emphasis (low bass drum) is on the two. In Bahia, the heavy beat is on the one.

Can’t slap the knee when the music makes you dance.

Johnny Winter got Jimi to yield on guitar and play bass? That’s a serious bragging right.

Depending on the desired outcome, either toss it or add mayo and give it a couple days.

Avoid the middle ground.

Hubris.

It’s like asking a composer to write something reminiscent of Beethoven’s 8th, but the composer has never heard it and figures they can do something better off the cuff.

Yeah, right Ludwig.

Regarding “efficiency”, if you fill your tank 90% with cheap, bad gas, and it stops running, you didn’t improve your efficiency by 10%, you got an efficiency of zero.

DOGE = Destruction of Government Efficiency.

We celebrated the last pre-tariff day by purchasing a used car. (VW ID.4, built in Chattanooga, still qualifies for the EV tax break.)

The grandson approves, overriding any and all professional financial advice.

Come to think of it, in arguably Shakespeare’s most famous scene, the main character shares his inner thoughts with the audience by talking to a skull.

“And the Oscar for best supporting actor goes to… Skull!”
March 6, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Yes, and the key point is that the main character (super or not) needs someone to talk or interact with to convey things naturally. A novel has many means of conveying hidden information. Visual media needs to be more coy.

The supporting character is critical for storytelling. Batman can tell (confused) Robin that the Joker is trying to poison Gotham’s water supply. The audience gets the message.

Now imagine Batman looking into the camera to say that. It’s cringe.
