"The secret of Nazism in practice, as Mein Kampf states time and again, is to do the most outrageously secret things quite openly. The Nazi success with this practice has been so great that there is nothing they will not dare."

The Roberts Six have thoroughly politicized the Court and turned it into a reliable arm of the RNC.

Democrats should have no reservations about calling them out for it, demanding resignations from these bought-off hacks and running on a promise to enact sweeping reforms.

and every Republican senator who knew better and voted to confirm him anyway has that blood on their hands
Kennedy's zombie ACIP panel just voted to restrict hepatitis B vaccine for newborns. Experts say it will harm children for no reason. www.ms.now/news/rfk-cdc...

If the government wants to be able to use facial recognition on every member of the public then every member of the public should have the right to, without warning, check any MPs WhatsApp, Telegram etc communications and check their hard drive.
UPDATE 🚨

The govt have launched their long-awaited consultation on police use of facial recognition.

But they want to expand it to every town centre.

Why are they making this decision before the public has even had the chance to tell them what they think?

Critics called on the government to limit roll-out of facial recognition, but others have urged ministers to accelerate the expansion to ‘boost safety’

Indeed there were many concerned, hand-wringing articles and X posts about "echo chambers" and how we were depriving ourselves of the wisdom of alternate viewpoints, all of which was easily decoded as I AM IMPORTANT AND HAVE IMPORTANT THOUGHTS WHY WON'T YOU ACKNOWLEDGE ME AND MY IMPORTANTOSITY
back when bluesky was still blowing up, wasn't bsky's self-moderation what the dipshits on the right complained about the most? like, those stupid bastards were actually for-real crying about censorship and suppression of free speech because so many of us blocked them.

Gee, it’s almost as if the Secretary of Defense ordered his subordinates to carry out an order his department’s own Law of War manual explicitly states is illegal.
"The requirement to refuse to comply with orders to commit law of war violations applies to orders to perform conduct that is clearly illegal or orders that the subordinate knows...are illegal. For example, 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐰𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐥."

If you want all writers to be rich dorks born rich who don’t need the money this is how you get all writers to be rich dorks born rich

If you want writers who were poor dorks born poor because maybe just maybe they have something different to say, this ain’t it
Using the belief that creators are the "petite bourgeoisie" to justify pirating books/stealing art is EXACTLY what makes it so hard for anyone who isn't rich to pursue their creative dreams

If you steal our art, you PERSONALLY are preventing us from building sustainable careers
Honestly, people calling creators the "petite bourgeoisie" makes me want to snap.
