I have friends who served in Afghanistan who relied on translators during their mission. I have also gotten to know people who worked in the Karzai government. All were targeted by the Taliban after we left. They all loved America more than Trump ever has.

I reported to ComDesRon 10 at NavSta Norfolk in '83. We had Spruance DDs, Knox FFs, & 2 Kidd DDGs. Next door was CDS 2 & they had some CF Addams class DD/DDGs.
Norfolk was amazing back then, destroyers, frigates, big deck amphibs, tenders, oilers, & carriers & battleships on the north end.
