Today, my wanderings took me to Nostell Priory which was beautifully decorated for Christmas with a 'Narnia' theme, then to Pontefract Castle in the pouring rain and finishing with a visit to Harrogate Pump Room.

Fantastic day today! Spent far too much money on new bobbins at the Lace fair in Birmingham and then on to the beautifully decorated Hardwick Hall and finally the impressive ruins of Sutton Scarsdale Hall!

Crafty people are just wonderful! I have had the best day at the Crafts4Crafters Show in Shepton Mallet. Four fun courses and lots of purchases later, I am tired, but very happy!

Fabulous day yesterday which took me to Leeds Castle (so beautiful!), Smallhythe Place , home of actress, Ellen Terry, and Lamb House in Rye, once home of Henry James and Rummer Godden. Rye is a lovely place and has a wonderful bookshop so new books as well!

Marvellous visit to the Dickens House Museum in Braodstairs today- really knowledgeable and helpful guides. Ate far too much at the Charles Dickens Restaurant- lovely staff, delicious food!

Lovely time wandering round Canterbury today. Visited the Cathedral (of course!), St Martin's Church and St Augustine's Abbey amongst other things! Also had a lovely time looking at the Oliver Postgate and Rupert Bear exhibits in the Beaney Museum.

Wanderings took me to Ely- fell in love with the stunning Cathedral, visited the stained glass museum + tried to feel more frendly towards Cromell by visiting his house. Spent SO much at Toppings, then on to Huntingdon where Cromwell was born to learn more! Brilliant second hand bookshop there.

My wanderings today took me to Oxford! Visits to Christchurch, Westgate libary, the Asmolean- and a few new books from Blackwells. An excellent day!

Brilliant time today, walking the Agatha Christie mile (we actually walked nearly 6!) in Torquay. We even had a drink in the Imperial Hotel and the sun shone on us nearly all day.

Lovely day today! I met @racheldelahaye.bsky.social in Wells and then visited the Cathedral, followed by a trip to King John's Hunting Lodge on the way home before having cuddles with baby Esme! Perfection!

Cancelled trains cancelled my day in London- so I went to Peterborough, then on to John Clare cottage and finally Fotheringhay! Lots to explore and do- including a Shaun the Sheep trail!

Brilliant day exploring Beaulieu. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous house and abbey ruins, fun monorail trip, the car musuem... and all the Jaguars at the Simply Jaguar 2025 event!

Brilliant morning finding Gromit Unleashed statues round Bristol. We found 15 of them and it was lovely to see so many families enjoying the trails!

Lovely out and about day exploring Wimborne Minster. Beautiful church, interesting museum and lovely bookshop! Visited Kingston Lacy and Lytes Carey Manor on the way home! Tired, but happy! @nationaltrust.org.uk
