Putin crossed a line. Europe stood by and watched this war because they depend on Russia for energy and USA for defense.

There is a real fear that Putin will invade Europe in few years and they will have to fight. They are waking up to that reality and will probably not return to business as usual.

Oil, gas, minerals and metals, rare earths.

Russia does not have anything else to offer.

It will all be justified in name of energy security.

American and European companies domg business in Russia had to take huge write-offs as they exited when the war started.

Who is stupid enough to want to go back in? There is no rule of law and massive corruption that makes it almost impossible to comply with Western laws.

Yes, trade relationship based on mutual benefit are much better than wars. Heard that argument before.

Just look at how well it worked for Europe as it traded with Russia for last 30 years.

And how it worked for USA as it traded with China for 50 years.

They see it as weakness to be exploited.

And we will make them say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays.
November 28, 2025 at 11:25 PM
Lol, but looking forward to hearing it during 2028 campaign.
November 28, 2025 at 7:46 PM
The same can be said for Noem, Hegseth and Patel. Pretty much everyone in this administration except Rubio.
November 28, 2025 at 7:38 PM
But it is also the dumbest hill liberals have chosen to die on.

One good thing about China's advance in robotics is that American techbros will not be able to 'pivot' to robotics once the AI bubble pops.

It's not going to be the next big thing if China has already done it.

They all voted for him and will vote for him again, regardless of what he does.

Owning the libs trumps everything else.

Investors are willing to take on higher risk to generate returns, thus fueling bigger bubbles in the market.

Markets are driven by herd mentality. Everyone stays invested not because they have conviction, but because everybody else is.

This liquidity is making everything worse.
November 28, 2025 at 3:58 PM
Yep, read something similar from Krugman after few years back, "too much money chasing too few returns".

And this was before the 2020 COVID infusion of cash by central banks.
November 28, 2025 at 3:12 PM
Yep, the best case scenario is that prices don't go up for next 2-3 years.
November 28, 2025 at 2:10 PM
Entire manufacturing sector in China is a bubble, from solar panels and smartphones to electric cars. They overinvest, create a glut and try to work their way out of it by shipping everything to the world at rock bottom prices.

We have an anti-vaxxer quack in charge of HHS. The country is going to pay for it in the coming years.
November 28, 2025 at 4:45 AM
That assumes they have any family and loved ones to go back home to. I would guess most of them are bitter men who have failed their wives and children.

Russia faces the same problem all resource-rich countries do. Tyrants control the oil and the country's revenues and population goes along with it as long as they see that wealth trickle down to them.

If Russia did not have oil it would have been impossible for Putin to hold on to power this long.
November 27, 2025 at 1:50 AM
Agree. Putin has rebuffed all opportunities for peace so far because the oil revenues continued to flow. Sanctions that Trump has put in place will impact that.

It is the only incentive he has to end the war. Collapse of Russian economy may lead to an uprising that spins out of control.

November 26, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Looks like it is already blowing up in their face. Russian proposal has been shot down, conversations leaked. Trump has distanced himself and talks will drag on.

Meanwhile, sanctions are in place and will choke the Russian economy.
November 26, 2025 at 7:42 PM
Europeans. Rubio would not risk it.
November 26, 2025 at 6:20 PM
You can see that in the tactics of this administration. Use the power of the state to crush all dissent. Disregard the rule of law and orders from courts.

This is their view of how things should be. Them in control of everything. Like Putin is in Russia.

No Putin bribe needed, they do it for free.
November 26, 2025 at 5:41 PM
All these guys are Putin wannabes. They really don't like restrictions imposed on them by our society. They want to be openly corrupt, racist and misogynistic.

When Republicans talk about how the 50s were the ideal times, they are talking about lack of laws protecting women and non-whites.
